In the first quarter of 2028, Santa Cruz County will host the Contemporary Mosaic Art 2 (CMA2) national conference — drawing mosaic artists, educators, collectors, and enthusiasts from across the United States and internationally.
Kathleen Crocetti, Denise Davidson, Su Gatch, and Susan Megorden are serving as conference co-hosts. In addition to the conference itself, they are organizing Mosaic Month — a constellation of concurrent exhibitions, workshops, and public events celebrating mosaic as a living contemporary practice throughout the region.
